The recent implementation of the Site Waste Management plan (SWMP) Regulations means it is now a requirement to have a SWMP on all construction projects with a contract value greater than £300,000. Both the client and the principal contractor can be guilty of an offence is a project is caught by the Regulations if it has been started without a SWMP.
